Privacy policy
Short version: Plantfold collects nothing and sends nothing.
1 · What Plantfold collects
Nothing. Plantfold has no account, no sign-in, and no server. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, and it contains no analytics or advertising code.
2 · Where your photos live
Photos you take or import are copied into Plantfold's own storage on your device, alongside a small database of names, dates, and reminder settings. Nothing leaves the device. Plantfold never modifies the originals in your photo library.
3 · Location and metadata
Plantfold reads the capture date from a photo so it can place the frame in your history. It does not read, store, or use location data, and its own copies are written without location metadata.
4 · Permissions
The camera is used only while a capture screen is open. Photo library access is used only for the photos you pick. Notification permission is used only to schedule local reminders on your own phone; no notification is delivered from a server.
5 · Network access
Plantfold makes no network requests. It works with the device offline, in airplane mode, and permanently disconnected.
6 · Deletion
Deleting a plant, or all local data from Settings, erases Plantfold's copies from the device for good. There is no backup and no cloud copy to recover from. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored.
7 · Children
Plantfold is a photo journal with no accounts, no messaging, and no data collection, so it does not knowingly gather information from anyone, including children.
8 · Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Questions can go to hello@plantfold.app.
